Our second Newburgh Community Clean-Up Mob action at 102-104 Washington Street, formerly the Clinton Hotel, took place at 10am on Sunday, July 8, 2012. This time we had 10 people join us on a sweltering summer morning. It took us just over an hour to turn a complete eyesore into at least a clean eyesore that one could walk past with ease. Like 288 Grand Street, the appearance of this building on a well-traveled street was a complete embarrassment. Just because our government refuses to enforce the law- in this case for many years- we refuse to live like slobs. Kudos to those who braved the heat and made this city a better place!
